US-based body armour protection specialist Integris Composites has introduced a new bulletproof vest that can be quickly donned and removed.

The company, formerly known as Tencate Advanced Armor, chose to debut its new body armor at the Milipol Paris 2023 exhibition, which began on November 14th.

“Milipol is the first to publicly introduce a device that dramatically reduces the time it takes to don and remove a body armor by more than 50 percent,” Steven Jackson, Entegris’ regional director for Turkey, the Middle East and Africa, said in a company press release.

“Our message to our users? ‘You can take it on and off as many times as you want. We want to hear your questions,” Jackson said. “We don’t tell people, ‘This is what you need.’ We say, ‘Tell us what you need and we’ll deliver it.’ We’re committed to making gear that our customers want and need.”

“Our magnetic buckle system allows the vest to be put on and taken off in two seconds, which is much faster than traditional gear that uses only hook-and-loop fasteners,” Jackson added. “Plus, a personalized fit can be created the first time you set it up. Users can now quickly put the vest on and take it off repeatedly without losing their settings.”

Early versions of Entegris’ quick-release vests and carriers have been tested in recent months by law enforcement agencies in Eastern Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as by the Israel Defense Forces.

Soft body armor vests, carriers and tactical gear make up a new category of personal protective equipment from the old Tencate business.

“Entegris began its transformation from a standalone supplier of ballistic plates to an end-to-end solution integrator role in early 2022, and continues to gain momentum following our name change announcement in September,” said Jan Grimm. Berg explained. At Integris, he is senior vice president of EMEA marketing and sales.

“We are becoming a leading supplier of a wide range of top-quality personal protective equipment to military and law enforcement agencies. ” Greenberg added.
