D3O Expands Ballistics Division with New Office at Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center

D3O, a global leader in impact protection technology, is pleased to announce the expansion of its ballistic division, Delta Three Oscar, to a new, contemporary office in Blacksburg, Virginia. The new office is strategically located at Virginia Tech’s Corporate Research Center (CRC), known for its specialized impact testing facilities. The move was made possible by the rapid growth of the tactical PPE market and highlights D3O’s commitment to supporting the U.S. defense, law enforcement and first responder markets through the provision of the lightest, most comfortable impact protection solutions.

The new office boasts spacious space and includes a product showroom showcasing the latest innovations in impact energy protection technology. The space allows Delta Three Oscar to introduce its full range of new impact protection and bulletproof grade products to customers and partners.

“Delta Three Oscar offers a wide range of products, several of which we are proud to be Berry Amendment compliant, reflecting our dedication to supporting the efforts of the U.S. Department of Defense,” said Stuart Sawyer, CEO of D3O. “Our new office expansion demonstrates our commitment to not only meet but exceed our customers’ expectations. We aim to provide the highest performing protection combined with best-in-class comfort and lightweight design.”

The move strengthens D3O’s mission to save lives by providing cutting-edge impact protection solutions to military personnel as well as first responders and law enforcement. By leveraging Virginia Tech’s testing facilities and methodological expertise, Delta Three Oscar aims to further enhance the effectiveness of its products in mitigating blunt trauma injuries and improving safety in high-risk environments.
“We are excited about the opportunity as our expanded office will enable even more organizations to support their mission of keeping their employees safe. The office’s capabilities will play a key role in developing and supporting production capabilities as we scale up berry-compliant production for our expanded helmet liner product line and new BFD trauma products,” added Bill VanMarekom, COO of D3O. “Our goal is to work closely with our partners to deliver customized solutions that provide unparalleled protection without sacrificing comfort or performance.”
